Just a bit of self-promotion....

I'm hoping it's okay to advertise your own site on here....
I recently created my own website dedicated to Jim Steinman. It's still very much under construction, as there is just so much Jim Steinman stuff out there, but please visit and tell me what you think:

Hi All!
Hi, everybody! Hope somebody's actually reading this, as this community seems to be pretty dead....where are you all, my fellow Jim Steinman fans???? I only joined LiveJournal so I could join this community, if I'm the only person who actually bothers with it I'm going to be really disappointed....
Anyway, a bit about me! I'm 15, so it was nice to see some Steinman fans who aren't actually old enough to remember Bat Out Of Hell!
I suppose I ought to say what my favourite Steinsongs is....but it's so hard to choose!!!! Alltime favourites include: "Out Of The Frying Pan (And Into The Fire)", "Rock And Roll Dreams Come Through", "Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young", "Total Eclipse Of The Heart", "Confessions Of A Vampire" and, well, LOADS of others! My favourite musicals are easier to choose: "Tanz der Vampire" (but NOT the English version - the English version must be killed, it was a total fiasco - by the way, is anyone in this community going to the Oberhausen production in November? I wanted to go, but alas, school and mock GCSEs got in the way!) and also "Neverland".
Well, that's all. I'll write again somewhen....
Wohl der Nacht xx

Words by Jim Steinman
Is there an lj RSS feed of Jim Steinman's blog that I can add to my friends' list? If not, could someone with a paid account make one? I'm sure I'm not the only person in this comm who would like it on my friends list.

Bonnie Tyler CD news
Courtesy of Daniel on the Jimlist:

The long awaited new cd from Bonnie, titled "Wings" will be released on
April 14th in France. Most of the 13 tracks are co-written by Bonnie herself,
including the first single "Louise" which is having a video shot in Paris.
The cd is being produced by Jean Lahcene who Bonnie is very happy to work with.

All but two tracks on the cd are brand new. The two old tracks are actually
new versions of "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" and "It's A Heartache".

Release in a similar format will follow in other select countries at a later date.
More details on cd content and tour dates will follow as released.

Final Track listing (order will change):

No matter what...
Question for any Whistle Down the Wind fanatics (or anyone who's actually seen/read the play):

My roommate was talking to me and tried to convince me that the song "No Matter What" (she was listening to the Boyzone version) was about homosexuals. I, the Steinman freak, told her that it came from a play that, as far as I knew, had nothing to do with gay people, but I could be wrong...

Soo...to keep this community alive and active, can anyone tell me what the song is REALLY about, or it's context within the play? That would be super!

"Forever's gonna start tonight..."
Hey fellow Steinfans! I thought it was about time I joined this group (judging by my user name, you'll know I'm a huge fan!) I don't have any pressing questions to ask, but I'm open for answering some (I don't know EVERYTHING there is to know about Steinman, but I've spent way too much time on jimsteinman.com, what a GREAT site!). As for a favorite Steinsong...that's a really tough question. I can be cheesy and say I love them all (because I do!), and I tend to listen to ones that fit my emotion at the time. But I have to say, "Tonight is What it Means to Be Young" will always be at the top of my list. What a song!!
